Micro Brewed

New Belgium Brewing Company

After being Inspired by Belgian brewers' impressive pallet of ingredients, he sampled while biking across Europe. Electrical engineer and homebrewer Jeff Lebesch created their flagship beer Fat Tire. In 1991, with his wife Kim Jordan, the basement brewry went commercial, founding New Belgium Brewing Company. Giving new meaning to DIY and Ma and Pop, Jeff brewed the beer in the basement and Kim would then make deliveries in the family station wagon.

They soon out grew the basement and moved on to a full scale operation. What sets New Belgium from other brewer is their focus on eco-friendly practices and employee ownership. The Brewry is located in northeast Fort Collins near the Cache la Poudre River on the grounds of the former Great Western Sugar plant.

New Belgium Brewery has made it a goal to be entirely wind-powered. Rather than directly using wind-generated power, the brewery elects to pay an increased rate for their electrical energy, which is supplied by the City of Fort Collins Utilities in order to ensure it comes from the cleanest source possible. About 10% of the brewery's powers comes from methane gas created as a by product of their on-site water treatment plant.

DuBay's offers Fat Tire Amber Ale’s and 1554 Black English Ale.

Boulevard Brewing Co.

Boulevard was founded in 1988 by John McDonald in a turn-of-the-century brick building on Kansas City’s historic Southwest Boulevard. A vintage Bavarian brewhouse was installed, and the first batches of beer were produced in the fall of 1989.

Based on the historic example set by the local and regional breweries that were once common throughout the United States prior to Prohibition, the brewery has a focus on providing locally-brewed beer for the Kansas City region. The brewery's first half-barrel was delivered personally by McDonald in his pickup truck to Ponak's Mexican Kitchen, located nearby. The brewery is now the largest craft brewer in the Midwest.

DuBay's Offers Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat

Blue Moon Pale Ale

Blue Moon, a Belgian-Style white beer (witbier) brewed by the Molson Coors Brewing Company, was launched in 1995. Originally called Bellyslide Belgian White, it was created by Keith Villa, a brewmaster at Coors Field's Sandlot Brewery (the onsite brewery owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company). The beer is a three-time medalist at the World Beer Championships (Gold-1995, Silver-1996-7).

Imported Beers

England

Bass Pale Ale

Englands Orginal Pale Ale was first brewed in 1777 by William Bass and the distinctive Red Triangle logo for Bass Pale Ale was Britain's first registered trademark. It's a classic still brewed in the same way.

Mackeson's XXX Stout

Milk Stout (also called Sweet Stout or Cream Stout) is a stout containing lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by Saccharomyces cerevisiae, it adds sweetness, body, and calories to the finished beer. Contemporary labeling standards prevent the use of the term in the UK, but Mackeson's still wears on its label the milk churn that has been its trademark on and off since it was first brewed in 1907.

Samuel Smith

Samuel Smith is a brewery long in tradition dating back to 1758. More in the vain of a micro brewery then a major established brewery.

Sam Smith's is one of the few remaining British breweries to employ the traditional Yorkshire Square system in the production of its beers. The Yorkshire Square fermenting system was perfected well over 200 years ago. Though it has fallen out of favor in modern times due to the amount of time and maintenance it requires, it produces a distinctively flavored beer that is impossible to replicate with other factory methods. The Brewing water for ales and stouts is still drawn from the original 85 foot well, sunk when the site was established in 1758, and the yeast used in the fermentation process is of a strain that has been used continuously since approximately 1900 - one of the oldest unchanged strains in the country.

In keeping with this rich sense of history and tradition, the brewery keeps a small team of dapple-grey Shire Horses. Far from being simply show horses, these gentle giants are among the last active dray horses in the world. They deliver beer to customers within a seven-mile radius of the brewery, as they and their ancestors have done for more than a hundred years.

Currently DuBay's is offering Nut Brown Ale but will be rotating through the list of Samuel Smith Beers

Strongbow Hard Cider

Strongbow is named after the Anglo-Norman knight Richard de Clare, later Earl of Pembroke, called "Strongbow" because during his wars in Ireland he relied heavily on Welsh archers, while the native Irish had few bows and relied on javelins. The cider is produced in Hereford by the English cider company Bulmers, who have been owned by Scottish & Newcastle since 2003.In Scotland most Strongbow is consumed in 2 litre bottles.

Ireland

Guinness

A dry stout that originated in Arthur Guinness's St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland. The beer is based upon the porter style that originated in London in the early 1700s. It is one of the most successful beer brands in the world, being exported world wide. The distinctive feature in the flavour is the roasted barley which remains unfermented. For many years a portion of the beer was aged to give a sharp lactic flavour, but Guinness has refused to confirm if this still occurs. The thick creamy head is the result of a nitrogen mix being added during the serving process. It is extremely popular with the Irish and is the best selling alcoholic drink of all time in Ireland.

Despite its reputation as a "meal in a glass", Guinness only contains 198 calories (838 kilojoules) per imperial pint (20oz UK) (1460 kJ/L), fewer than an equal-sized serving of skimmed milk or orange juice and most other non-light beers.

DuBay's offers Guinness Pub Draft in a pint can and served in a pint glass

Mexico

Corona Extra

This Pilsner was first brewered by Cerveceria Modelo on the tenth anniversary of the brewery. It is the top-selling beer in Mexico and is one of the top-selling beers worldwide. Available in over 150 countries, it is also Mexico's leading export brand. There must be a reason they have sold so many of them. Oh and one is not complete without a lime.

Negra Modelo

A darker brew brought to you by the same brewer as Corona. Once again not complete without a lime.

Dos Equis Especial, Dos Equis Amber

Dos Equis was first crafted in Mexico by the German brewmaster Wilhelm Hasse in 1897. Orginally called Siglo XX" ("20th century"), since the Spanish language uses Roman numerals for centuries, the bottles were marked "XX", two Xs, or "Dos Equis". DuBay's offers Dos Equis which is a is a full-bodied Vienna-style amber lager.

Holland

Heineken
The Heineken company was founded in 1864 when the 22-year-old Gerard Adriaan Heineken bought a brewery known as De Hooiberg (the haystack) in Amsterdam. In 1874 the brewery's name changed to Heineken's Bierbrouwerij Maatschappij, and opened a second brewery in Rotterdam in 1874. In 1886 Dr. H. Elion, a pupil of the French chemist Louis Pasteur, developed the "Heineken A-yeast" in the Heineken laboratory. This yeast is still the key ingredient of Heineken beer. In 1887 Heineken switched to the use of bottom-fermenting yeast.
